Grand Haven is a scenic community in Ottawa County, about 40 minutes west of Grand Rapids at the mouth of the Grand River on Lake Michigan. As of the 2000 census the population was just over 11,000. Also known as Coast Guard City USA, Grand Haven was founded by French settlers as a fur trading post called Gabagouache. In 1835 it came to be known as Grand haven.
Today, Grand Haven is an active resort, boating, fishing and port community but still retains its small town feel while boasting a state beach, boardwalk, lighthouses, over 100 miles of bike trails, a pier, a wharf, a large charter fleet and a Great lakes port. Grand Haven State Park was recognised as one of the top 5 beaches in the country.

GRAND ISLE MARINA: Located at 1 Grand Isle Dr, just
minutes from Lake Michigan and at the heart of 21 miles of inland waterway, Grand Isle Marina is a state-of-the-art facility that can accomodate boats up to 140 feet in length. THE WHARF MARINA: Located at N 301 St, The Wharf is situated on a channel into Lake Michigan within minutes to the Grand Haven Business District and downtown restaurants. The Wharf can accomodate boats up to 45 feet in length and features new floating docks, customer pavillion with rest rooms, a full service marina and ship's store. SOUTHERN GRAND MARINA: Located at 10367 North Cedar Drive approximately 30 minutes by boat from Grand Haven, Southern Grand is a full service marina on the Grand River with pool, clubhouse and rec room. GRAND HAVEN GOLF CLUB: Located at 17000 Lincoln St, Grand Haven Golf Course features over 6700 yards at a par 72 and is rated by Golf Digest as one of America's TOP 50 courses.
