Northview is a lovely community in Plainfield Charter Township in Kent County, just to the northeast of Grand Rapids. As of the 2000 census the population was just over 14000. Commuting to and from downtown Grand Rapids is convenient via highway US-131, I-96 and Plainfield and Division avenues. Some of Northview's attractions include a short drive to Fifth Third Ballpark, Celebration Cinema and IMAX Theatre and Meijer Gardens.
One of the newer condo projects in the works is Celadon New Town. This condo development is located just west of the Beltline on Knapp Rd and offers an urban feel in the form of Modern Row style condos to stand alone luxury condos. Prices start in the $150k range. Waterford Condos off of the E. Beltline on Grand River Drive are luxurious condos starting in the $400k price range and feature lake access on Versluis Lake. You can also find very affordable living space at Northwood Hills Condos with units starting at $80k.

FIFTH THIRD BALLPARK: Located 4500 West River Dr in Comstock Park, just off of the US-131 - exit 91, Fifth/third Ballpark is home to the West Michian Whitecaps, a Class A affiliate to the Detroit Tigers. Fifth/Third also puts on a spectacular fireworks show after the weekend evening games and at Christmas time, host West Michigan's largest Christmas light drive-thru exhibit, with over 1,000,000 lights. FREDERICK MEIJER GARDENS: Located 1000 E. Beltine just north of the I-196 highway, Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park offers a world class sculpture park, Da Vinci's famous Horse and a spectacular botanical garden. DELTAPLEX ARENA AND CONFERENCE CENTER: Located at 2500 Turner Ave just a few minutes drive from Northview, the Deltaplex is home to the Grand Rapids Flight of the International Basketball League. The Deltaplex is also features Arena Racing, an indoor stock car race format that is fast and exciting. Also featured are many conventions, shows like the Gun and Knife shows, Pet Shows and more. CELEBRATION VILLAGE: Located on Knapp St just west of the E. Beltline, Celebration Village is the place to go for good food and entertainment. Take in a movie at Celebration Cinema or on the IMAX, grab a bit to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings, Boston's Sports Bar or Pnaera Bread and if you want to try something a little different, try some fondue at The Melting Pot.

GRAND ROGUE CAMPGROUND: Located 10 minutes from the center of Northview on the shore of the Grand River at 6400 West River Dr in Belmont, Grand Rogue Camground and Paddlesports park offers over 100 clean, safe and quiet family campsites. These are large, pet-friendly, wooded sites in a riverside setting that also have wireless internet. They can be contacted at 616-361-1053.
RIVERSIDE PARK: Located at Monroe Ave and 3 Mile Rd, just south of N. Park St. Riverside Park runs along the Grand River and is a great place to bring the family. Use the public boat launch, enjoy Frisbee golf, have a picnic or walk or bike on the lengthy paths. There are also Soccer and Baseball fields, children's play areas, facilities and grills.
ROBINETTES APPLE ORCHARD: Located at the corner of 4 Mile rd and the E.Beltline, Robinettes is more than just an Apple Orchard. With Mountain Bike Trails, Hay Rides, a Winery and the Apple Haus, Robinettes is a unique experience and fun for the whole family. They can be contacted at 800-400-8100.
